The Suwannee Bicycle Association invites you to a memorable weekend of pre-holiday cycling activities and festivities at the 2007 Secret Santa Cycling Weekend and Century Ride. Both on-road and off-road rides will be conducted each day.
Secret Santa is scheduled to coincide with White Springs Festival of Lights and the Christmas Parade. As we do every year, we will be decorating our bicycles and riding them in the parade. We have included a donation option below and will be purchasing bicycles and helmets for children selected by the local school to be picked up during the weekend event.
Friday, December 7th - The weekend will start around 7 PM with a Cheese Fondue and Tree Decorating Party at HQ. Festivities will include holiday music and trimming the tree.
Saturday, December 8th - This day will begin with a bagel, fruit and oatmeal breakfast at Headquarters at 8:00 a.m. There will be off-road rides and road rides meeting at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm at SBA Headquarters. The group will decide which trail or route to ride in the White Springs area. Enough ride-guides and leaders should be on hand to lead several groups for a variety of lengths, pace and difficulty, from leisurely to fast paced riding. This is an excellent time of year for riding in the woods or on the country roads!
Meet at Headquarters at 5:00 to rally for the Christmas Parade which starts around 5:30. Plan to be creative and decorate your bikes. Bring treats to throw to the crowd. They love it.
Pot luck dinner will be at Headquarters after the Parade (approx 7) followed by gift exchange so bring your favorite dish and a bike related gift for under $10.00. Throughout the evening area children and their families will be arriving to pick up their new bike and helmets.
Sunday, December 9th - Bagels, fruit, and oatmeal will be a HQ at 7:30 a.m. The Secret Santa Century will be held on the White Springs Triple Loop with many mileage options and special Christmas tree road arrows. Rides start at SBA HQ. Longer rides (42, 65 and 100-mile options) will start at 8:00 am. The 23 mile option will begin at 10:00 am. The route loops clover-leaf style around White Springs with a central SAG stop at SBA HQ. Post ride lunch will be served at SBA HQ until the last rider is in. The post ride lunch will be Lasagna (meat & vegatarian) tossed salad, garlic bread and make your own sundaes.
Overnight Accommodations
Suwannee Valley Campground (386-397-1667) has special discounted rates for SBA members at their tent sites by the river (just 5 minutes from SBA HQ by bicycle). RV sites and cabins are also available.
Kelly’s Campground (386-397-2616) has very nice cabins and RV sites and tent sites.

Secret Santa Registration
The cost of this weekend of fun and food is $20.00.
Secret Santa T-shirts are long sleeved and optional for an additional $15.
All registrations must be received by NOVEMBER 22nd to guarantee T-shirts.
