No, you certainly don't need a sweetheart to do this ride. But it is a "sweetheart" of a route. On Sunday, there will be rides of 25, 52, 62, and 100 miles. The longer rides start at 8:00 AM, from Suwannee Bicycle Association Headquarters in White Springs, FL. The 25 mile ride will start at 9:30 AM.

The $17.50 registration fee includes breakfast, fully stocked rest stops, and after ride dinner on SUNDAY ...maps, and marked routes for the weekend. We will have T-shirts for pre-registered cyclists only. Long-sleeved is $15 extra, short-sleeved $10. Pre-registrations must be postmarked by FRIDAY, January 26. Day of event registration fees are $20 for Sunday, or the weekend. Saturday ONLY is $5.

You can check in or register at SBA Headquarters when you arrive. Headquarters will be open Sunday morning, at 7:00 AM, for registration and a continental breakfast. The breakfast will include coffee, juice, fruit, oatmeal, grits, bagels etc. A post-ride buffet dinner will be served at SBA Headquarters from noon ...until the last century rider is in.

On Saturday, at 10:00am, there will be a group ride starting at SBA Headquarters. We will have good maps, marked routes of 23 and 47 miles, ride leaders, and a sag on call. If you would like to participate in the pot-luck dinner on Saturday night, bring a dish filled with your favorite recipe. Registration for SATURDAY ONLY is $5 ...or free to SBA members.

There are also great off-road trails in the area, so you may want to bring two bikes. Bring some friends, and have a great weekend.

Registration form must be postmarked by January 26, to order the T-shirt.

There will be no extra charge for using active.com to register for this ride. T-shirt deadline online is Sunday, February 4th, at 5 PM.

You must sign a Release and Waiver of Liability at check-in, Saturday evening or Sunday morning, before the ride start.

ACCOMMODATIONS listed in order of distance from the ride start: The Suwannee River Motel in White Springs is very small and inexpensive. If you can get in there, it's the closest to the action. Call (386) 397-2822.

Americas Best Value Inn is three miles away at I-75 and SR 136, the Farmer's Market exit.  It's new and clean.  Reservations can be made at 1-888-315-2378 or at www.AmericasBestValueInn.com.

Days Inn, on US 441 north of Lake City, is 11 miles away at Exit 303.

The Live Oak Econo Lodge is 13 miles west of White Springs, at the US 129 exit from I-10. The number is (386) 362-7459.

You can also camp at Stephen Foster State Park. Make reservations through ReserveAmerica at 800-326-3521 or www.ReserveAmerica.com.  All three of these nice campgrounds are 5 minutes from the ride start ...by bicycle!!!

White Springs is accessible from I-10 or I-75. From I-10 take Exit 301, which is US 41. Go north, 8 miles, to the second flashing light in White Springs, which is Bridge Street. Turn right, and SBA Headquarters is the second building on the right. From I-75 get off at the exit for SR 136, and go east three miles into White Springs. At the flashing light, cross US 41, and SBA HQ is the second building on the right.
