Dog Days Open House - August 15-17, 2014
Suwannee River State Park
(Members only) $10 individual; $15 family
Enjoy a relaxing weekend of road and off road rides at Suwannee River State Park, close to Live Oak. Saturday afternoon, enjoy a relaxing float or paddle on the river. SBA tubes are provided or you can bring your own boat. Suwannee River State Park also has two wonderful hiking trails, one of which runs follows an old stage coach route and cemetery from the 1800s.
Saturday there will be a potluck dinner at the campground Pavilion (there are no cooking facilities). SBA will provide paper plates, napkins and plastic utensils. Or better yet, go green, and bring your own. You are responsible for all meals.
You are responsible for making your own campsite reservations (www.reserveamerica.com) at Suwannee River State Park.
Please RSVP to Sharon at the e-mail address with the number of members in your party (and your site #, if applicable) so that we can ensure we have enough tubes and paper products. The registration $$ will be collected at Dog Days. So bring some cash or a check.
For information, contact Sharon Shea at firstname.lastname@example.org or 904.534.4417
Anderson Springs offers 8 miles of beautiful single track trail. Off road riders will meet to ride the trail on Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.
New: Edwin McCook will lead a full day paddle on Saturday from Suwannee River State Park to Dowling Park. Contact Edwin McCook to secure a spot on this paddle trip. Edwin can also put you in contact with an outfitter if you need to rent a boat for the day. phone: 386-364-7597
